Event Description
The Foundational Seminar focuses on the essential principles of the ASCENDER Scholars framework, which aims to support the career advancement of both students and faculty. This training emphasizes dynamic active learning strategies that can enrich classroom experiences and enhance program administration. The program employs an asset-based approach to engage students and promote literacy across various disciplines. It specifically targets students classified as not college-ready, facilitating their success in Developmental or Co-requisite courses as mandated by House Bill 2223. Advisors work with students until they transfer and graduate with credentials of value.
